ZDM BAFJ Floor Armored Joint System is a high-precision floor expansion joint solution engineered in strict accordance with the UK Concrete Society TR34 (4th Edition) standard. Specifically designed for super-flat concrete floors, it provides reliable load transfer performance and long-term durability in demanding industrial environments.

The BAFJ Armour Joint system for industrial concrete flooring consists of profiled steel plates, load transfer plates (dowel plates), debonding sleeves for controlled movement, and sacrificial plastic bolts, forming a complete and integrated joint system.

The joint-forming steel plates are typically manufactured from 2–3 mm thick galvanized steel or stainless steel, and are precision-punched and cold-formed to combine multiple functions into one system, including:

• Construction joint forming and control
• Effective load transfer between adjacent slabs
• Edge protection for concrete arrises
• Permanent formwork during concrete placement

Once installed, the BAFJ system allows adjacent concrete slab panels to expand and contract freely in both longitudinal and transverse directions, significantly reducing internal stress and preventing uncontrolled cracking.
